We've just started tracking Amazon Japan

There are only a few Amazon.co.jp products here so far. Paste a product link from amazon.co.jp above and we will start recording its price; trending products and categories appear here as the record grows.

What you see on every product page

Sale banners tell you the discount off the list price. Price history tells you what the product actually sold for. For each Amazon.co.jp product we track, the product page shows the record we have built from our own checks, nothing estimated and nothing copied from the store's claims.

Lowest price recorded
The lowest selling price we have seen in any check, with the date we saw it, plus the lows of the last 30 and 90 days.
Month-by-month prices
A table of the lowest, highest and typical price in each month we tracked, so you can see whether a sale price is new or the usual price.
Every check, with its date
How many times we checked, when we first and last checked, and each price change we found. Gaps are shown as gaps, not filled in.
A price-drop alert
Pick the price you want to pay. When one of our checks finds the product at or below it, we email you with the date of that check.

Checking a price during a sale

Before Prime Day, Black Friday or any “up to 80% off” event, paste the product link here and look at two things: the lowest price we have recorded, and the price in the weeks before the sale. If the sale price is at or near the recorded low, it is a real drop. If the price in the month before the sale was the same or lower, the discount is measured against the list price, not against what people were paying.

We are not connected to Amazon. The prices here are what the public amazon.co.jp product page showed when we checked it, saved in Japanese yen. Coupons and vouchers are not included, so the amount you pay at checkout can be lower than any price on this site.

Set the price. We'll watch it.

No app needed. Alerts are free and you can turn them off any time from My alerts.

Questions about AI Price History

What is AI Price History for Amazon.co.jp?
AI Price History is a free website and Android app that records the prices of products sold on Amazon.co.jp and shows you that record: the lowest price we have seen, how the price has changed month by month, and when we last checked. It is run independently of Amazon.
Amazon's app already shows price history. Why use this site?
We keep every price we have recorded for as long as we have tracked a product, show the date of each check, and can email you when a product reaches the price you want. Use Amazon's chart for a quick look, ours for the full record and to be told when the price drops.
How far back does the price history go?
As far back as we have been tracking that product. Popular products have a year or more of checks; a product that was added recently may have only a few. Every product page states how many times we checked it and the date of the first and last check, so you can see how much history there is before you rely on it.
Why does a product show very little history?
Because we only show prices we recorded ourselves. When a product is new to the site we have not seen many prices yet, so there is little to show and no price rating. Tracking starts the first time someone looks the product up, and the history fills in with each later check.
Which links can I paste?
Product links from amazon.co.jp and Amazon's short links (amzn.to, a.co). You can also search by product name. Prices are shown in Japanese yen (JPY), as they appeared on the public product page at the time of each check; we never convert them.
Do I need an account?
No. Browsing price history, lowest prices and monthly prices is free without an account. You only need to sign in to create and manage price-drop alerts, so we have an email address to send them to.
