How It Works

How AI Price Historytracks and analyzes prices

From searching a product to getting a buy suggestion, here is how our price tracking platform works step by step.

01

Product search or URL paste

Start by pasting an Amazon or Flipkart product URL, or searching by product name, brand, or keyword. Our search engine looks up the product in our database and retrieves all available price history data.

  • Paste a full Amazon or Flipkart URL, or use a short link like amzn.in
  • Search by product name, brand name, or category keyword
  • Browse products by category from the navigation menu
02

Data collection & price history

Once you open a product page, you will see the current price, lowest tracked price, and a complete price history chart. This data comes from regular price checks performed on the marketplace listing.

  • Prices are checked every 24–48 hours for active products
  • Each check records price, MRP, discount, and availability
  • Historical data is aggregated into an interactive price chart
  • The chart shows price movements over days, weeks, or months
03

Deal analysis & buy suggestions

Our analysis engine evaluates the current price against historical data to provide actionable insights. You will see whether the product is near its lowest price, how the recent trend looks, and what we suggest.

  • Deal position: visual indicator showing where price sits in its historical range
  • Buy suggestion: Definitely Buy, Good Deal, Wait and Watch, or Overpriced
  • Recent trend: up, down, or stable over the last several data points
  • Key metrics: gap from lowest price, savings from highest price, and more
04

Set price alerts & compare

If the current price is not low enough, you can set a price alert to get notified when it drops to your target. You can also compare prices across countries or explore similar products.

  • Set a custom target price and receive email notifications on drops
  • Compare Indian prices with international markets for supported products
  • Browse related products in the same category or subcategory
  • Check the price checker page for detailed comparisons

How we ensure data quality

Data quality is at the core of what we do. Our automated systems run regular checks to validate pricing data and identify anomalies. We cross-reference multiple data points to filter out temporary glitches or listing errors.

What we track: Listed price, MRP, discount percentage, availability status, and product specifications.

What we do not track: Coupon discounts, bank offers, exchange values, seller-specific pricing, or personalized deals. These vary by user and cannot be captured reliably.
